Jessica Ellen Cornish, popularly referred to as Jessie J, is a known English singer and songwriter. The unique music style that Jessie performs that fuses soul vocals as well as electropop, pop and hip-hop has brought her not just fame but also recognition from a young age. In addition, she has won several nominations and awards, such as the 2011 'Critics' Choice Brit Award', and 'BBC's Sound of 2011.' Her career began at the young age of 11 when she was made a part of 'Whistle Down the Wind,' an original musical composed by English composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. Then, she was a part of the 'National Youth Music Theatre as a performer in the theater's production of 'The Late Sleepers,' which premiered in 2002. The year 2011, when she made headlines when she released her first studio album "Who You Are'. It immediately became a hit. In the first week, 105,000 copies were sold in the UK and 34,000 copies in the US. It was ranked no. 2 among the UK Albums Chart and number 11 on the US Billboard 200.
