Nadia Elena Comaneci

It was during the Montreal Olympic Games 1976 that she had one of the most unforgettable moments in sports history - - the first ever perfect 10 on the bars that were asymmetrical. She went on to achieve an additional six perfect 10s and became the youngest Olympic all-around gold medalist, at only fourteen years of age. Nadia Comaneci managed to attract international attention and assist in helping Romania establish itself on the world map. Achieving an unattainable score was what made the sports legend famous and popularized gymnastics across every country. The public's opinion of women athletes was changed due to this feat. She had such an impact that she earned her the title of Olympic toe on and release moves. The moves are classified as difficult. Apart from the Olympics her performance was impressive. She also showed outstanding performances in her participation in the World Championships and European Championships too, making her an icon in the sport and amongst the best-known gymnasts anyone could have.
